Deoarece nu vreau sa plec fara sa las o scurta recapitulare pentru cei 5-10 cititori fideli, am sa las cateva clipuri cu versuri (nu ale mele ce-i drept) ce vorbesc de la sine.

URMA este un proiect imaginat in primavara anului 2003 in Cluj Napoca de catre Mani Gutau si Dan Byron carora li s-au alaturat mai tarziu Dominic Csergo si Sorin Erhan. Primul album, “Nomad Rhymes”, a fost inregistrat in aprilie 2003 in studioul Glas Transilvan din Cluj. In 2004, a fost reeditat de catre casa de discuri Macondo Media. In luna martie, in acelasi studio din Cluj, s-au incheiat inregistrarile la cel de-al doilea album URMA – “Anger as a Gift”.

Cine este Urma? Sau ce este ea? O trupa. Una dintre putinele din Romania pentru care conteaza doar muzica. Asa au pornit. Initial era un “proiect” muzical care isi propunea sa atraga foarte multi alti artisti. Mani si Dan s-au cunoscut la Cluj si, chiar de la primele intalniri, au compus o piesa. Li s-au alaturat apoi Sorin si Domi. Au intrat in studio, au inregistrat si, pentru ca primele piese sunau foarte bine, s-au hotarat sa continue. Pentru placerea de a asculta muzica – muzica buna, muzica pura, autentica, creata fara alt scop decat acela de a lasa ceva in urma, de care sa-si aminteasca cu placere. Asa s-a nascut si numele trupei. Si asa a aparut si primul album, “Nomad Rhymes”. De la o piesa s-a ajuns la unsprezece – fiecare sunand altfel, dar fiind parte a unui intreg coerent: o poveste cu unsprezece capitole. Intregul album este acustic, tocmai pentru ca miza acestui “proiect” a fost promovarea muzicii fara a apela la artificiile instrumentatiei moderne. Muzica si textele in limba engleza permit acestei trupe dreptul la “libera circulatie”. Piesele sunt compuse de Dan si Mani, dar ideea de lider nu este compatibila cu trupa. Ei sunt un tot, “o urma impotriva lumii, pentru oameni”, cum ii place lui Mani sa spuna.

Al doilea album “Anger as a Gift” a aparut cat se poate de normal, ca o continuare si chiar o confirmare a activitatii bune de care tanara trupa se bucura. Albumul contine 14 piese inregistrate in studioul Glas Transilvanean din Cluj. Piesele au fost mai intai testate prin concertele URMA, iar publicul a fost de la inceput receptiv la noile compozitii. Si pe acest al doilea album, textele sunt tot in limba engleza.

In Martie 2005, la GreenHours, URMA si-a facut aparitia si online, prin www.urma.ro. Realizat ca si grafica de exceptie, marca Cristian Ioan Gutau, grafica aparuta mai intai pe primul album URMA, website-ul trupei se inscrie in ceea ce s-ar putea numi “filosofia de viata” a celor patru componenti: arta fara compromisuri. Tot sub aceasta filosofie se afla in pregatire o carte URMA. Carte care sa includa partiturile pieselor de pe primul album, grafica, poze inedite si texte scrise de membrii formatiei.
